Can’t stop talking about Jesus.

I find myself this morning, this Easter morning, wanting to post and post and post about Jesus Christ on every social media outlet possible. (Sorry, I’ll try to stop. I don’t want to be obnoxious- but even if I don’t do it the rocks will cry out. Luke 19:40) But what I realized is that this urge to spread the word about Jesus and the fact that He conquered death after being utterly disfigured in the act of taking on all of our sins… should really happen everyday. I’m thankful for the Easter holiday, not only because I love chocolate but mostly because it has allowed me to stop and reflect on the Resurrection.

It’s the craziest thing…

a man

who is at the same time

God

who lived in paradise

Heaven

was willing to leave paradise to come to

earth

where violence, injustice, and assault against goodness

reigns

but the King of Everything refuses to let

His

creation suffer forever despite their choosing everything over

Him.

We wanted nothing to do with

Him.

Yet —

“He was beaten, he was tortured,
but he didn’t say a word.
Like a lamb taken to be slaughtered
and like a sheep being sheared,
he took it all in silence.
Justice miscarried, and he was led off—
and did anyone really know what was happening?
He died without a thought for his own welfare,
beaten bloody for the sins of my people.
They buried him with the wicked,
threw him in a grave with a rich man,
Even though he’d never hurt a soul
or said one word that wasn’t true.

Still, it’s what God had in mind all along,
to crush him with pain.
The plan was that he give himself as an offering for sin
so that he’d see life come from it—life, life, and more life.
And God’s plan will deeply prosper through him.” -Isaiah 53:7-10, The MSG

If we don’t believe that we need a Savior-

then Easter doesn’t matter.

But if you

acknowledge

that you have sinned, even once in your life

told a lie, stole anything, thought something hateful about someone else, wanted nothing to do with God who created you-

you’re guilty before the

God of the Universe.

That’s why Jesus came to earth- lived, but most importantly died a horrendous death-

to ransom the

liars

cheaters

God-haters

apathetic

greedy

me

from our destiny of eternity separated from Him

also known as

Hell.

Typing out the truth- I know it’s offensive. No one likes to be told there is a true right and wrong. A lot of times we don’t even want to have to make a choice. But the truth is – we do.

I’m no better than anyone else. It’s only by God’s grace I’m here, living life with a relationship with Him.

I don’t deserve

I can’t earn it.

Jesus died to give me life eternally–

but He did that for you too.

It’s crazy.

It doesn’t make sense.

That’s the beauty of grace.

It doesn’t add up.

Us=0

God=Everything.

I’m thankful He gave me His score.

Happy Easter ya’ll.

Love,

Katie

He is Risen
If corpses can’t be raised, then Christ wasn’t, because he was indeed dead. And if Christ weren’t raised, then all you’re doing is wandering about in the dark, as lost as ever. It’s even worse for those who died hoping in Christ and resurrection, because they’re already in their graves. If all we get out of Christ is a little inspiration for a few short years, we’re a pretty sorry lot. But the truth is that Christ has been raised up, the first in a long legacy of those who are going to leave the cemeteries. -1 Corinthians 15:16-20, The MSG
