Billy Graham said, “Courage is contagious. When one man takes a stand, the spines of others are stiffened.” I think we are seeing the truth of that displayed at the highest level through the President and people of Ukraine.
As I have watched the news this last week, I have often wondered and asked God – what are you doing? Where are you in this horrible war? Why aren’t you stopping this?
On Tuesday morning, I was on a zoom call with 425 people from around the world. We listened to families in Ukraine share what they are going through. Then, we split up into small groups to pray for them. I prayed with people from Indonesia, Panama, Texas… I heard them pray in their own languages, crying out to God. I was feeling very worried and disheartened prior to that zoom call. But, after, I have had more peace. Not less concern for those in Ukraine, but peace that God hears and He cares. One Ukrainian shared Habakkuk 3. I would encourage you to read it. I am so inspired by the faith, courage, and determination of Ukrainians.
Please continue praying fervently for the people of Ukraine. 💙💛
Lord, you hold the whole world in your hands. Surround Ukraine with your shield of love. In Your powerful name, Jesus. Amen.
